History

Fade came from Topside. His parents watched over him before a deadly disease took both their lives. He was found and brought to the College enclave where he became a Hunter before following Deuce Topside.

Relationships

Deuce

Starting off as her hunting partner, paired together by Silk, him and Deuce start to get close. In Outpost, he becomes distant from Deuce, as he believes she has romantic feelings for Stalker. She later dismisses this, however, and she grants him "exclusive kissing rights".

Stalker

A boy from the Wolf gang that accompanies them to Salvation, where he is taken in by Mr. Smith making ammunition. Eventually, he gets close with Deuce, and the two often sneak off to an abandoned house to spar at night, or he sneaks through her window that she purposely leaves unlatched for him. Fade, mistaking this as a romantic relationship, distances himself from Deuce.

Tegan

Grew up in the science building of a university until her mother's death. Afterwards, she was captured by the Wolves and forced into breeding and was often beat. She escaped with Deuce and Fade and accompanies them on missions, and she was especially useful after she underwent medical training by her foster father, Doc Tuttle.

Pearl

Pearl grew up Topside with Fade, and their fathers were friends. In Enclave, she lets them take shelter in her home, where she tries to convince Fade to ditch Deuce. In the library, Pearl tries to run from the Freaks, ultimately resulting in her death.

The instructor down below, who paired Fade and Deuce together as hunting partners.
